Is a Wedding Dress Friendly Tan really out there? Su-do Tan 10% spray tan

Before     After

After hearing great things about Su-do tan, I was excited to do the Wedding Dress tan test with this particular tan.

The tan was easy to be applied, didn't leave any marks or patches. After leaving the salon I did not look like I had been for a tan which was a bonus as I was doing my Christmas shopping and even better the tan takes only 4 hours to develop!
The colour of the tan after being washed off, was natural and left me looking like I had olive skin with a glow.
Day of Tan        Day 12 of Tan
The tan lasted approximately 9 days being still quite strong, at day 12 it was barely recognisable which makes it definately pass the honeymoon test.
Slight mark under armpit
The wedding dress test was quite good with only slight marks just under the armpits which is also a bonus.

You can purchase Su-do from Amazon.com for approx £15 for DIY Su-do tan, alternatively Su-do tan is very popular for Beauty Salons and a full body costs approx £20.

I am so excited that Seche has brought out their first colour line!
It has 33 colours and are all high intensity colours which can be achieved with just one coat!
For a perfect french is 'Debutante', which is a baby pink with a shimmer and can be used with either two of these great whites 'porcelain' or 'blanc'.

Another great colour from this collection is 'Smitten' which is a gorgeous shimmery coral, which would perfect as bridal nail wear or would look cute on your bridesmaids as it will go with any colour dress.

Follow this by using the Seche Vite top coat to ensure a perfect shiney finish.
You can find these products on http://www.seche.com/try-on/index.php?sku=69232

Less is More

A massive wedding trend for 2013 is 'Less is More' whether this is decoration, wow factor and even the dress. So why not stay on trend with your make-up. Less is More makeup has been see already in two of the biggest, yet conservative and annoyingly secretive weddings, Anne Hathaway and Adam Shulman and Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied.
To gain the Less is More look, you need;

  • a defined lash - but not a thick false lash look - you can gain this by eyelash extensions
  • muted eye shadow tones - get an eye shadow which suits your natural skin tone
  • a nude lip
  • a good base foundation
  • and a peachy blush

Seche Vite also is great for your bridal French Polish as it guarentees not to yellow.
It is obvious why this top coat keeps winning award after award.

If there has to be one Hair Care product you should buy this year, this product has to be it!
Its called 'Its a 10 Miracle leave-in' http://itsa10haircare.com/hairsite/2010/05/11/004/.

I found this at my local beauty wholesaler, Sallys, but when I was on holiday in the USA a few weeks ago, you can find this product in most beauty stores, spas and hair salons, it was everywhere!

It is simple to use, smells great and as it does 10 jobs in one you can cut down on all the clutter in your bathroom!
It is obvious why this product is called 'Its a 10' as this is a score I will definately give it.
This is also a product I would use in the lead up to your wedding as it will make your hair healthy, strong and really shiny.

Is a Wedding Dress Friendly tan really out there? Laurens Way, 8%.

Before and After
Following starting my quest to find a wedding dress friendly tan, I started with 'Lauren's Way' original spray 8% tan. Lauren's Way tan is by Lauren Goodger who rose to fame through the television show 'The Only Way Is Essex' (TOWIE).
Due to the show TOWIE where the cast are famed for their orange Tangoed look, I was pretty dubious about testing this tan. However I was suprised by my outcome.
The Tan did not smell, it dried quickly and most importantly I was a natural golden colour, like I had been on a weekend break to Marbella rather tan a beauty salon on the Jersey Shore.
day of tan      day 10 of tan
I also tested the following day 'Wedding Dress' test and although a little did transfer, it was only on the inside of my top which isn't too bad.
Wedding Dress Test
I have added a new aspect to my research which will be the 'Honeymoon Test' where I will see how long the tan actually lasts. In the case of 'Lauren's Way' tan, ten days later, the tan is still present however a little faded. You can find Lauren's Way tan at http://www.laurensway.com/shop/ where you can buy the products to do at home, alternatively if you find a salon which does 'Lauren's Way' you can usually get a full body for approx £15.

Kissable Lips

I have been a massive fan and an envy of my peers for owning this lip balm: EOS Lip Spheres, however I have just tried my favourite flavour - in 'Summer Fruit'.
The EOS sphere range of lip balms are all amazing as they smell like the real deal, but EOS also provide you with moisture rich lips for hours.

EOS balms literally leave you an hours after feeling like you have just applied and the shape is in a sphere, so you can just shut your mouth and apply to cover!
I love this so much I had to share! http://evolutionofsmooth.com/products/lipbalm-sphere/

Is Wedding Dress friendly tan really out there?

As sun bed tans are left for those who want to improve their chances of skin cancer and the tangoed look is left for the Jersey Shore, I have become a ray of different tanning colours over the last year to find the perfect tan and I aim to do this again, to test which brand is aesthetically pleasing as well as wedding dress friendly.

I aim to test this by once every two weeks getting a different brand of tan – either spray or manually put on, showing the before and after photograph as well as the all important next day white vest top test. In order to control all variables I will have the same therapist to do the tans and I will wear a brand new white vest top in the same style the following day.
Wish me luck and I will keep you updated!
